Crain Veterinary has a knowledgeable, courteous, and professional staff. We have always been pleased with the service received and would recommend them to anyone.

Yesterday my four-month-old golden retriever got into a bag of goldfish and ate the whole bag without me knowing after I got home she threw up about 10 times with little goldfish in them and I had realized this glazed over look in her eyes, her eyes looked droopy and almost kind of rolled up on her head I had called our vet that we normally go to and they were closing in like 15 minutes so they had just told us to go to blue pearl hospital and that it was an emergency. I was freaking out and so worried, I called my mom and she had said that she had used crane before and to call them and see if they could get her in.. Well, they were also closing in about 10 minutes now but the girl I had spoke to was so nice and I felt so secure when talking to her because I was freaking out I was really worried about my dog she put me on hold for not long at all and came back after talking with I assume one of the doctors and had said that this wasn’t an emergency, that blue pearl would cost us a lot of money and she explained to me that just like humans when dogs eat too much or start you know they throw up that our eyes get watery, we feel weak, etc. and that she was just really sick from eating that much food and didn’t feel good and that the look in her eyes and everything was going to be normal at this time and then it was not an emergency. She said don’t give her too much food and water and just keep an eye her and that they would get me in first thing in the morning. We hadn’t even been there before and they were helping. I was already on my way to blue pearl because I had spoken to our vet and they said it was an emergency but I sat outside in the parking lot after talking to that girl and just kind of watched my dog for a couple minutes I ended up going back home and just keeping an eye her like she said and she was playing again, licking me, walking around and her eyes eventually got better like within an hour and she was perfectly fine. I was so happy that I called crane and that they gave me the advice that I needed, they saved me money, and they told me it wasn’t an emergency. And it wasn’t! She is ok! I really appreciate this girl who help me so much and who made me not worry & told me it was going to be ok. Affer being at our vet for three years with our other dog and now her as well I think we will be switching to this vet now after this. So thank you!!!

I like Crain's, we've been coming here since we moved to Blue Springs about six years ago.I am giving them five stars because I have a big rottweiler who absolutely hates going to the vet (wonderful!) and they have still put up with us all these years, even managing to board her without incident (that I know of :) ). Anyway they have always treated us right, they aren't the cheapest and they also aren't the most expensive, they are convenient and fast and family owned.

Can't say enough! From accidents and forgotten diaper bags... to losing 2 fur babies. This place has taken care of all of my family. Seriously we got diapers from a gal that worked there.

Very nice, friendly staff! The vet techs, the girls at the front desk, the vets. Crain genuinely cares about your pets and understands it can be unexpected and expensive and are willing to work with you all while ensuring your animal has genuine, quality care. Dr. Jerry listened to what i had to say and what all I had already tried with my dog. He took into consideration everything i had alteady tried and didn't repeat what other vets had already tried. Other vets helped the problem temporarily but Dr. Jerry was with me, and wanted to find out the source of the problem and not just find a temporary fix. I have no doubts about Crain Veterinary and have found a new PCP for my fur babies :-)
