My Dad is there if I had the money I would have him moved this place is a joke I asked to have his head stone fixed over 5 months ago and it's still not done and the shop needs to be cleaned up! Stop putting money in birds and other animals and put it in the place and clean it up ! Oh your mowing stinks to every time I go out there have to clean the head stone off. For people that was in the US Military you are treating them very bad! Oh if you take this off I will put it back on and go to the TV and till them.

This cemetery is extremely misleading. Our experience has been similar to the other reviews on here--except they took advantage of MY family. Plain and simple. Additionally, over the years, the property has not been well-tended to. It looks junky. Lastly, the new gazebo/money-making scheme/call-it- what-you-will ordeal ... where to begin? If you or your family want a traditional grave-side service, Swan Lake Cemetery is not for you. They force you to do a gazebo ceremony, whatever that is. Even if a contract was organized prior to these new owners. No exceptions, very odd and a bit sketchy. Their excuses have ranged from, "this is what the real veteran cemeteries do and we are trying to be more like them" to "the clay levels are bad and we are eliminating grave-side ceremonies for the safety of the families." If you are looking to be buried, or are looking to bury, in the outer KC area, by all means, look elsewhere! You'll likely be treated better and not taken advantage of (as badly at least--we all know how funerals are
I just visited Funeral Directors Christina and Virginia to transfer ownership of two Swan Lake Memorial Park plots. The process at their office was very smooth and professional and took no more than 20 minutes. The cemetery looked good as usual.
This place is in bad shape. You can hardly ever get ahold of anyone. The lawn needs mowing and the dandelions have run amuck. I am sorry this is where my brother chose to be buried. What a disappointment.
